Every brand has a story worth telling well, and that belief is exactly why Petals Creative Services exists. We’re kicking off this blog as a space to share what we’ve learned building campaigns, solving creative problems, and helping brands across Sri Lanka and beyond find their voice.
A bit about who we are, for anyone visiting for the first time: Petals Creative Services was founded in Colombo in 2018 with a simple but ambitious goal, to build a bespoke, agile, design-led advertising agency unlike the traditional players in the market. From day one, we’ve worked as a distributed team spread across the island and internationally, which means remote collaboration isn’t a recent adjustment for us, it’s simply how we’ve always worked. That structure lets us stay flexible, move quickly, and bring together a wider range of perspectives than a single office ever could.
Over the past several years, we’ve had the chance to partner with some genuinely great organizations, shaping campaigns that stretch across strategic planning, media and creative production, project management, and even e-commerce consulting. Whether it’s a television ad, an in-store display, a direct mail piece, or a full digital campaign, our approach stays the same: figure out what the brand actually needs to say, then say it clearly and consistently across every touchpoint a customer might encounter.
What we’ve found, again and again, is that the best work happens when we’re not just executing a brief but genuinely partnering with a client. That might mean helping set up internal workflows, defining KPIs, or sitting in on strategy sessions well before a single design is created. Creativity matters most when it’s pointed at a real outcome, and that’s the philosophy behind everything we make.
This blog will be where we talk through that process in more detail: campaign breakdowns, thoughts on the evolving advertising landscape in Sri Lanka and the region, lessons from projects that pushed us creatively, and practical insight for brands trying to figure out their own next steps. We’re glad to have you along for it.
If there’s a topic you’d like us to dig into, or if you’re a brand thinking about your next campaign, we’d love to hear from you.
